Mr. Kowtko is a Georgia native, he was born in Stone Mountain, GA and his southern country-side upbringing made him develop a deep love for classic country music, green rolling hills, southern-style sweet tea, and the sound of nigh-time crickets.
Matt attended Georgia State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Business Economics, and then shortly after he moved to Orlando, FL, to attend Barry University School of Law where he earned three “Book Awards” for the highest grades in business organization, corporate taxation, and contracts drafting. He graduated with honors in the top 33% of his class.
Mr. Kowtko had been wanting to practice law since high school, and this desire was reinforced when he began working for a local law firm during his undergraduate studies. As an attorney, he has helped many families with a wide variety of legal issues, ranging from family law or criminal defense. Matt’s clients describe him as highly energetic, personable, reliable, passionate, and tenacious when it comes to the practicing of the law.
Being married and having a family of his own helps Matt empathize with the stress and the emotional toll that come with dealing with the important and sensitive matters involved in family law. As a professional and a business person he can understand the challenges and frustration involved with civil litigation cases.
Service to the community is another area Mr. Kowtko has dedicated his practice by donating time and efforts to facilities servicing low-income individuals with family issues and gave regular assistance with low-income tax preparation during law school.
When Matt is not practicing law, he enjoys traveling wit his family, attending live country concerts, and watching movies at home. Among Matt’s favorite countries (apart from the United States of America) are England, and Germany. Matt also has a passion for sports cars and luxury watches.
